You were the best Daddy a girl could ever have. Always there for me, always supportive and encouraging and always loving. Over the years, I learned so much from you, just watching you live your life, observing how you had genuine concern for others and were always there to help everyone in any way you could. You always had a smile on your face, no matter what, and you loved Mom, us (your very lucky children and grandchildren), all family members, friends and pretty much everyone,...

A wonderful man who always seemed to have a smile even when things were not going exactly as planned during overhauls at the shipyard....

I worked with Jim in the 1970's in the Navy Yard. I always remember him as helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I remember him and admired him. Sorry to hear about his passing. R/Ed Hafer
