Not sure what to say?

I had not seen Jimmy since we played basketball at the JCC together 1968-1974. I spoke to him in 2015 for the first time in years and it was like all the years melted away. Jimmy was always well liked but more importantly well respected. I still miss him

My deepest sympathies to the Blumenthal family for your loss. I had the honor of knowing and working for Jim at First Washington. I have always had deep respect and admiration for Jim for his kindness and his great knowledge. He touched my life and he did many others. Jim will be missed.

Please accept my sincere sympathies. May God's holy spirit or active force, equip you with the " power beyond what is normal " to go from one day to the next. ( 2 Corinthians 4 : 7 ) Remember : God can help his faithful servants to endure any and every problem they may face.

Kind is the first word that comes to mind when I remember Jim. He was lovely as he embraced our son, Teddy, and his son, Michael, in basketball with teams at St. Stephen's and in the community of Alexandria as well as 5Star Basketball Camp. Jim may have been their biggest fan and we were ever so grateful for the support he gave to our son.

We are deeply saddened by his loss, yet will keep him in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Jim.

-The Shervin Family

I served with Jim on the Green Hedges School Board of Trustees for a number of years. He was a pleasure to work with and will be greatly missed by all. Condolences to all the Blumenthals from our family.

Jim was the glue that made First Washington a family. He was the one who set the tone that family came first, and was responsible for so many of us staying with the company for so long. We shared a personal relationship as friends and confidants despite our individual positions...he made everyone feel like a peer. We will love and miss him for many years to come. I wish Stacy, Emily, Matthew, and Michael peace and love. I watched Jim as he grew into fatherhood, and no one was better suited...

I am saddened by our loss of Jim. I got to know him through his service at GWU's Business School. I remember him as kind, intelligent and generous soul. His warm smile was his trademark.

Thank you, Jim, for your leadership and kindness. Thank you, Stacy, Michael, Emily, and Matthew for sharing Jim with us. Jim made the world a better place. He will be missed.

I remember Jim from our days as KTS parents and Special Olympics team boosters. He was kind and thoughtful, positive and fun. He had a big, good heart. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Doug and Ivan join me in sending our condolences to Stacy and the children.
