Not sure what to say?

I knew Jimmy during the Kansas State University days. I will always remember him being very unique but kind and caring. Loved his art and really never knew him as a musician. I will always remember our time together with all of our friends talking about art. I am very sad to have learned of his death, but I know he is still rocking on!

It's been one year now. Rest in peace, brother. You are always in my prayers.

To Jimmy's family, my sincere sympathies and prayers are with you. I met Jimmy when I was 18. The moment I heard him I fell in love with him. His simple smile and that voice could brighten up anyone. Wish I could have known he was sick, but I know he's in a better place now. I will always remember Jimmy fondly with alot of love and respect. I truly miss you Jimmy.....

To Jimmy's family - my deepest sympathies. I met Jimmy in 1981 and we spent a lot of time chatting as I was an immigrant from Cape Town South Africa. Having travelled a bit Jimmy was always interested in my stories. What a talent. I remember telling Jimmy at one concert that he did some of the Beatles songs better than the Beatles themselves! What a wonderful soul. I had not spoken to Jimmy in many years but have fond memories. RIP brother...

Remembering Jimmy, and the nights at One Block West. May God keep you always.

Well Jimmy, today's the day. I've thought of you constantly since the 10th. I've thought of all the joy you brought to me and thousands of other music lovers across the Midwest by simply singing a song, and I wanted to say thanks.
I can't remember exactly when or where I first heard you but it had to be at the Block during the mid 70's. To walk into a local club and see and hear someone with your talent was indescribably wonderful, especially if you were a musician.
In a world...

I met Jimmy while playing on the Kansas City circuit back around 1980 and found that we had so much in common. Such a soulful singer with the voice of an angel and a spirit to match. I was lucky enough to sit in with Plain Jane whenever I was lucky enough to cross paths and will forever cherish those wonderful memories. I'm sure that they are lining up in heaven to hear this newest arrival... love ya brother.
