Although it's been a very long time ago, there was a time that I saw Tom on a regular basis in and around the Gaston Courthouse. I also went to his house in Gastonia to listen to his sister's record and later sat in with the band one time on bass guitar. Tom was a guy that I thought highly of. My condolences.

My heart is so heavy. I had the pleasure of working with Tom over the past nearly 40 years, both in the courtroom and as his secretary when he went back into private practice. He was the kindest, most genuine person I know. Sue, J.J. and Courtnay, if you knew Tom, you knew his family through him. He cherished each of you and his wonderful grandchildren.
