Not sure what to say?

I learned so much from you, Jim...in the 18 years we worked together at Perry Hall High, you were teacher/mentor/friend and a very effective and progressive leader for the entire school community....your faith in me and in us as staff allowed for new and innovative programs to develop and expand and grow at the Hall: COP & DO expanded 9-12; expanded Math and Science curricula; one of the finest Music and marching band programs anywhere in the state; a nationally recognized Peer Counseling...

James R....hardly a day goes by without thoughts of you (sometimes I even dream about Perry Hall and you...they are dreams Sally; not nightmares..LOL)....such was your impact on my life and on Diane and my lives.....your belief in kids, and in us to do our very best on their behalf powered our careers in education way beyond the time you left Perry Hall...after 48 years, I finally took down the counseling sign and transitioned on to other things....thanks for being such a great...

Blessings to the Bowerman family. Thank you for your leadership, and compassion. (Class of 1986)

Mr. Bowerman was a very wise and understanding principal. I have many fond memories of him interacting with the students on their level while maintaining his dignity and autority. So sorry to hear of his passing. Laura June Reynolds Reisz Perry Hall Class of 78.

Shortly after I started teaching at Perry Hall in 1974, I needed to have spinal cord surgery, which took many days of recuperation. Since I had not accrued enough sick days to cover my absences, I could have lost a lot of money. But Mr. Bowerman collected a sick day from each of several other teachers to cover those days. I shall never forget his resourcefulness -- as well as his patience whenever the school newspaper, which I advised, caused a bit of an uproar.

My heartfelt sympathy to Mr. Bowerman's family. At the Class of 1972's 35th reunion in 2007, there was a waiting line to chat with Mr. Bowerman. Many smiles and laughs that night - he made it very memorable! Peace be with you.

My sympathies go out to Sally and the Bowerman family. Mr. Bowerman was a great principal and loyal friend. He fostered and supported many activities that enriched all the students who attended Perry Hall High under his tenure. It was an honor to work with and for him. Barbara Francis, teacher 1979-1993

My sympathies to the family of Mr. Bowerman. I remember him as a very effective leader of an excellent high school where I taught English back in the 70's.

My sympathies go out to the family. Mr. Bowerman was fine principal and a compasionate man.
