James Frederick "Jim" Bradley, of Bessemer, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at age 85. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and later resided in Alabama for 45 years. Jim was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Korean Conflict, and he was also a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his son, James Bradley, Jr.
Jim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Wanda Bradley; two sons, Tony Bradley and Steve Bradley; one daughter, Patty Kay Polakiewicz (Shawn); his beloved pet, Cookie; and many other loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 1, 2017, from 10:30 -11:00 am at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, 2701 John Hawkins Parkway, Hoover, Alabama 35244. The Graveside service will follow at 11 AM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, with military honors. Father Bill Lucas, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made, in Jim's honor, to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society, 284 Snow Drive, Birmingham, Alabama 35209.

This was my father.I knew him all through the years. I was a favorite of his. We did so much and had many times ,good and bad.I didnt want him to leave the world ,but he did. Amazing how these events happen.
