Words cannot express my feelings at this tragic loss. Jim was such a kind, caring person who gave so much of himself. I worked with him at Musikfest & always found him to be upbeat, kind, fun. He had a way to make you smile everytime you saw him. I'll always remember his smile, his laugh, & his heart of gold.
My thoughts are with his family, especially Deb, his soul mate. Losing him is a tragedy to so many people, but especially to those who loved him. I hope you can find comfort...

Deb,
Words cannot express how sorry we are at the passing of Jim. My sister and I always looked forward to seeing you and him at Musikfest and share in the experience of the fest. We enjoyed the work he did with the flowers and just his presence there. We will miss him dearly, he was always happy and smiling and full of life which he enjoyed very much.
My sister and I will be contacting you regarding the "favor" you asked us to help you with. We will be honored to assist.
Love to you...

My dear friend, Deb, and Jimmy (who is all grown up now & a fine young man with a lot of his father in him),
Please accept my deepest sympathy on your irreplaceable loss. Jim embodied joie d'vive. From the day I met him approximately 17 years ago Jim insisted thast we were siblings and he became very much my brother within a few months.
Jim had an irrepressible curiosity about everything & everyone and he was the quintessential "people person", pulling his friends and...

To Deb and Jim's Family:
I am so sad to hear of Jim's passing. His smile and laugh brightened the space where he stood. His love of nature and his loving ability to always help out will be missed by us all.

I met Jim and Deb at Musikfest, thru a mutual friend, Sam Washington.
Over the years of Festing and Partying, came a running joke as we would pass by each other, from Platz to Platz,
"Hey, I was just leaving"
I will never forget, all of us sharing a laugh tailgaiting with Jim and Deb.
Deb, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

A short story of how I met Jim.
My friend Kristen had been trying to get him to come experience Philadelphia Folk Fest for years. She was finally successful this one year (I think in 2000) when the MusikFest schedule didn't conflict. He volunteered on the Purchasing Committee that several of us were on (it's a community very much like MusikFest).
I remember the beautiful, sunny, hot day she came over to our "Tuesday" campsite with him in tow and asked if he could camp with us....
