Not sure what to say?

Dr. Breneman was my allergy doctor. He was the first person to figure out that I was allergic to dozens of foods, including gluten. I was sad when he retired. I send my condolences to his friends and family!

Dr. Breneman was an icon to many in the small Galesburg-Augusta community. My Mom, Gloria Hoffman, was an RN who began working for him when the new clinic was opened in the early 1970s. As a child, I was terrified of Dr. B, but also in awe of his amazing skill as a physician. He was a major inspiration to me as I contemplated a career in science/engineering. His wife and children were very kind and helped so many people with life's challenges. I hope the many memories of all of Dr. B's...

Craig and Lisa, I'm sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of both your dad and mom, who were incredibly generous towards Jeff and I during their times of loss and sorrow. They made our wedding possible. Wishing you peace as you move on without your dad's great presence in your life.

Lisa and Craig, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your dad was my doctor for many years, until his retirement, (as I'm sure Lisa remembers) and was the best one I ever had. So knowledgeable! I always remember looking for your mom and dad every Greater Galesburg Day as they watched the parade with the Burrell's. Such fond memories. They are all so missed.

Deal Lisa, Craig, and your family.
I am so sorry for the loss of your dear father. Doc Breneman was our family doctor for years; and took such good care of us all. Treasure the awesome memories of your Dad, and hopefully it will get you thru this very difficult time.

What a wonderful and kind doctor, he delivered one of my sons back in the early 1960s. I am sorry to hear of his passing, God blessed us all with Dr. Breneman, may his blessings continue for his family.

He was my Dr when I was young. We lived in Comstock and his office was in Galesburg. My mother was an RN at Bronson so she knew how to pick Drs. I remember I was allergic to milk and eggs as he determined and sulfa. He did a lot of tests on me but I remember him being kind and gentle. My sister and I (she is now in Alabama and I am in Chicago) were in Comstock On July 29 and purposely drove past his office and talked about him. Sorry for your loss.

We loved Jim! We so enjoyed our Monday night Trivia games with him, his fist bump greetings, his great humor and quick wit, and his zest for life and travel. We had so much fun with him during our special days together, especially during the Traverse City area travels. We’ll miss his huge smile and wonderful laugh! Thanks so much, Jim, you entertained our daughters and granddaughters, making them feel so very special with your wonderful hugs. With love and our deepest condolences to Lisa and...
