Not sure what to say?

I was so sorry to read about Mr. Bresnicky. I truly treasured my time with him in Latin classes. He loved what he was doing and imparted the joy and the dedication to his students. I still tell my kids that the Latin I remember is "scissum frumentum sine lacte mors est," or "shredded wheat without milk is death"! My sympathies to the family.

I may have been one of his poorest Latin students but I never left his class feeling I was a failure, doomed to future failures. He had a way of letting his students know that they had infinite value beyond their mastery of Latin. He was a man of deep joy and humor. He claimed there would be grilled baloney sandwiches and warm Pepsi in heaven. Bonum appetitionem, Mr. Brez.

To the family,

Bres was simply one of the best teachers ever! I'll have a fried bologna sandwich and drive up Ford road tonight. I owe IOWAY more than I can ever say. Res ipsa loquitur.

Mr. Bresnicky is a Great man. I was always in admiration of his presence. I am very fortunate he was my neighbor and have many great memories of my times with Mr. Bresnicky.

You were so loved here on earth and you are loved even more in Heaven.

My thoughts, prayers and sympathies are with the Bresnicky family at this dificullt time. Mr. Bresnicky was one of my favorite teachers and I will forever remember his spirit and commitment towards "introducing the next generation to a higher standard of living."

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Brez was one of the best teachers I ever had. He didn't pull punches and he didn't take any baloney from students. Either you had done "the stuff" or you hadn't. No excuses. I never was any good at Latin, but he taught me what hard work looked like and what it meant to earn someone's respect. I am indebted to him always. P.S. Who feels like an inner tube ride down the Tiber?

To the Bresnicky family,

My heart is very sad about this loss -- Brez was a truly remarkable teacher and mentor. I will always remember his support and advice. My deepest sympathies to all family and friends.

To Joan and all Bresnicky family,

I was sad to hear that Jim is no longer with us. I will always remember the love he was giving so generously and his smile that always accompanied whatever he was saying. I know that now he still smiles because he is in Heaven and I believe that one day we will see him there again.......smiling.
I am thankful to God for taking Jim in peace and for not letting him suffer before his departure from us. I hope that you all find comfort in God's...
