Not sure what to say?

In the 1970's while attending Harlandale High School I took a Biology course with Mr. (James) Breuer. Although Biology was not my favorite subject I enjoyed Mr. Breuer's Biology class as he was energetic, expressed enthusiasm about the subject matter, and always got students involved in class discussions. What I especially remember and did record to this day is how he always reminded us that "you are what you are because of your proteins".

My condolences to Mr. Breuer's family and...

Jimmy was our youth group director at Highland Park Presbyterian in San Antonio. I fondly remember all the weekend retreats to Mo Ranch, John Knox, Rockport and Port Aransas. Also all the Christmas plays the youth group put on at church. As well and various project he had us doing at the church. We also had many lively discussions in Sunday School, like why are dogs didn't go to heaven. Jimmy definitely made my growing up in the church very special with memories I'll never forget. Thank...

My sincerest condolences to the Family of Mr. Breuer. Mr. Breuer was my cooperating teacher when I was a student teacher under his tutelage in the 1970's at Harlandale High School. Thanks to him, I'm still in the profession five decades later. I will never forget and will always be grateful for his expertise, love of the profession, his wisdom, and his patience. He was a great example and role model to his profession. It was obvious that he spent his life, mind, and heart giving to...

I will never forget washing those paper plates at the mountain house or the ranch dressing incident. Jim was a character for sure. I know his family and friends will miss him dearly.

Jim had a natural curiosity for nature and love for the great outdoors. As a teacher at Judson of AP Biology and Marine Science he shared his love of science with the students on educational field trips to Texas A&M and the UT research center in Port Aransas. Jim never had kids, but his baby was a house he built in Fort Davis on the side of the mountain. Everybody has dreams, but some never get to live them. Jim with his house got to live his. With the help of his brother, Joe, and friends...

I said it before and will say it again... Jimmy was the best man I ever met in my life. He was always happy (except when I didn't want to eat lunch at that picnic table in Monument Valley). He made me feel like part of his family and I consider myself a lucky woman to have know him. My heart hurts that he is gone from us. He will be missed so much.

I will treasure all our work and fun with Habitat for Humanity and especially the Presbyterian Cluster. He was a special guy!
Also Jim was a special addition to our Crestholme Presbyterian Church famiily. We will miss him...

Mr B was my favorite teacher. After graduating in May of 81 I traveled with him to Ft Davis and helped him work on his house. I often stopped at the school to visit him in the years after that until he retired. I spoke with him in 97 but not after that.
I should have stopped on one of my many trips to AZ.
RIP Jim

My mother-in-law is also at Legacy and we always saw Jim when we visited. We enjoyed talking with him and will miss his sweet smile. We are grateful that our paths crossed and left us with many fond memories. What a wonderful legacy Jim leaves. May your memories give you peace and comfort now and in the days ahead.
