Not sure what to say?

To the family of Jimi Brooks:

On behalf of myself, Susan Sarich and all the former staff of Zinc Bistrot in Portland, Oregon, we would like to express our sympathy in your moment of tremendous loss. From the day we opened our restaurant, Jimi was a loyal supporter of our efforts to bring good food, great wine and gracious hospitality to Portland, and it is the word gracious that best describes the Jimi we knew. His warm smile, kind words and honest laughter brought smiles to us...

I have only known Jim for a brief time, during which I could see that he was a wonderful person. I was shock to hear of his passing. My deepest condolences to the family!

Respectfully,
Diana Hodson

I am very sorry for your loss. I too graduated from Beaverton High School in 1984 as well as Linfield College in 1988. I was looking forward to seeing Jimi at the reunion next weekend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I am SO sorry for your recent loss. I am an alumni of Jimi's and was looking forward to seeing him at our 20th high school reunion on the 18th of this month. Although it has been over a dozen years since I have seen him, I have such fond memories of his kindness and how sweet he always was to me and my friends. His presence on this earth will surely be missed!

We are deeply saddened to read of Jimi's passing. We talked with him on numerous occasions at WillaKenzie and valued his knowledge of wine. He was a truly nice person and we know he will be greatly missed by many friends. Our most sincere sympathy is sent to his son and family. May your memories bring you comfort.
