James passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019. James was a resident of Buncombe County, North Carolina at the time of passing. He was a 1942 graduate of Woodfin High School and went all 11 years without missing a day of school. Mr. Brown served in the US Navy during WWII, Korea, two tours of Vietnam and two tours in the Anartica, having served from 1943 to 1970. Memorial services will be held at 12 Noon Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel with Father Wes Shields officiating.
