I´m so sorry to hear of Jim´s passing. I did Betty´s hair for about 5 years at Raybrook. We always teased each other how special we were because my husband and I were also Jim and Betty. They were both such a joy. Sending love and prayers. Please give your mom a hug for me. Betty Gill Raybrook Beauty Salon

Jim worked at Ford Motor Credit in Dearborn at the time I was there, in the days before computers or laptops or even hand calculators. He was always very kind to the me and to my colleagues in a small area called " Commerical and Industrial Finance. Then, after law school and years in Detroit we made our move to Ada, where - of all things- Jim showed up at Zondervans. I recall those days fondly, and think of how generous and kind he was at all times. My prayers are for his family .

An honor and a privilege to know Jim and see how he exemplified God's grace and goodness to others.

While I did not have the pleasure of knowing James I know his family which manifest so much of James. He is truly to be celebrated. I will give prayers of thanksgiving to our Lord for him.

Our condolences to Betty and to Bob & Becky and their family on the loss of Jim. I enjoyed meeting him and speaking with him a few times over the years...he was so proud of his family and always liked to hear good things about David and Rachel from someone over at Calvin ;-) May God comfort you as you mourn your loss and celebrate his life and his homecoming. --Bob & Sue Eames

Awesome memories of Jim & Betty when they lived in Caledonia. I was their hairdresser. It took me awhile to find out what Jim used in his "little" hair, but one day he must have felt like I need to know..lol...Wonderful people.

Betty & Family, I am grieved to hear of Jim's passing. I served with him on the Salvation Army Advisory Board in Kent County for many years. As a new board member younger than many, he took me under his wing and ensured I was welcomed. I learned so much about leadership from him and remember him always willing to help make the Salvation Army a stronger non profit in Kent County. I count it a great blessing to have known Jim and Betty. In Christ's Love Diane Wynsma Hyland.
