Not sure what to say?

It seems just yesterday being in his class and getting all the encouragement to continue. He was full of life. Miss him a lot. Always cherish what he taught me.

Professor Burford was a wonderful teacher and helped me greatly with his advise and guidance. Thank you.

In loving memory of a wonderful art professor . Jim was my studio art professor at Mt Vernon college. I will always remember his creativity and guidance.

I will always remember Jim as one my best art teachers and a lover of art and art history.

Jim was the best art teacher I ever had. He was encouraging, and inspiring. I learned so much in his classes. He also knew so much about art and art history. To be on one of his tours at NGA was an experience. Thank you Jim!

Jim Burford was the best art teacher I every had. He did so much further my work and build my self confidence as an artist. He was also a gifted artist and art historian. I loved talking to Jim about art. I miss having him in the world. Love to his family Sandy, Elizabeth and Mary.

I think of Jim often and try to remember the things he taught in his classes. I also think of his family. Hope you are ok. Love Kathleen

I miss you Big Brother

I am very sad to learn of Jim's death. He was not only a great teacher but also a wonderful art historian. I send my love to Sandy, Mary and Elizabeth. Kathleen Stark
