James BURNHAM Obituary

BURNHAM, James B.

80, of Palm Harbor, formerly retired in Costa Rica, passed away at Stratford Court March 25, 2015. Born in Hackensack, NJ, he was the son of the late James E. Burnham and Christabel Burnham. He was an Ionospheric Physicist in Antarctica from 1957-58 and 1961-62, an engineer with Energy Services, Inc. until retirement in 1997. He is survived by his wife, Joan C. Burnham; two daughters, Elise W. Cundy and Sarah C. Swett, both of Maine; his brother, Peter B. Burnham of Arizona; two grandchildren, Marissa Adams and Donald James Cundy of Maine; his nephews, David Burnham and Christopher Burnham of Arizona; and his niece, Emily Gutgsell of Colorado. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm at Stratford Court Saturday, April 25. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Brain Research Development Fund, Account #770809 at UM Brain Bank, 1951 Seventh Avenue, Suite 240, Miami, FL 33136 (800) 862-7246.
