Not sure what to say?

Aunt Mary, very sorry to hear of Uncle Jim passing. Love you with all my heart!

Mary & Family, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during these difficult days. I'm really sorry we didn't get to see & know Little Jim & JoAnn. The last time I saw him was in 1964 when Uncle Jim passed away. I always looked forward to his comments in my Christmas cards!
Thank you for the "Celebration of Life" invitation. Wish we could be there. We will be thinking of you.

I was sorry to hear of "Little" Jim's passing. I know that he was "up there" in age, but I also know that we are never ready to lose one we love. I was hoping that he would be able to make it to Curdsville one last time. The last time I saw "Little" Jim was when he stopped by my mother's(Ann, wife of John D.) house somewhere around 1972. "Little Jim mentioned a few years ago he might try to make the Byrne reunion in Curdsville. We would have loved to see him. We were all so fond of his dad, Uncle Jim! I still remember the big yellow apples he sent us on Christmas.
John D was my dad.

U.S. Army

This is cousin Mary Lou Byrne Payne of Knottsville, Ky. My father was John D., brother of Big Jim, who called dad Doogan. I think I only met Little Jim one time. Astounded that he looked so much like his dad. My sympathies and prayers are with you.

We would like to send a heartfelt word of sympathy to the family of Jim Byrne. He was a neighbor and friend. We knew him as Jim when we lived on NE 114th in Parkrose. Our son Ron worked with Jim while at Local 40. Thinking of you, Simon and Lois Schmidt

Bill and Earlene Bown and family wishing your family our love and sympathy for the loss of your great father and husband. As you know, Bill Bown and the Byrne family go all the way back to Joe and me in the first grade and our neighborhood, living only a block away for many years, all the way through high school. Mr. Jim Byrne was a great man who I always respected and looked up to throughout all my years. Remember to call me anytime, Joe, if you need any help or just to talk and get...
