   Mr. James C. Paul, Sr., age 69, a resident of Washington, NC and a former resident of Ocracoke died Sunday September 23, 2018 at his home.


     A Memorial service will be held later in Ocracoke.


   Mr. Paul was born in Pamlico County on November 12, 1948 son of the late Wilford C. Paul and the late Helena Parson Paul. He was a graduate of Ocracoke School. On August 1, 1968 he married the former Mary Anna O’Neal who survives. Mr. Paul retired from the NC Department of Transportation as a Ferry Captain after thirty years of service. His hobby was working on computers and he was a member of Ocracoke Assembly of God.


     Surviving along with his wife: Mary of the home are his children: James C. Paul, Jr. and his wife Susan of Palmer, AK, Tina Lee Snapp and her husband Mark of Wanchese and John David Paul of Ocracoke; a brother: Terry Lee Paul of Greenville; six grandchildren: Zachery, Samantha, Madeline, Jamie, Donavon, Sophia and Anabella and one great grandchild: Weston.
