Not sure what to say?

Jim and I were friends and roommates at the Zeta Chi house at Baker University. He was always easy-going and fun, with a great laugh. I could see why he would make an excellent teacher and coach. All my best to his family.

Very sorry to recently hear of Jim's passing. We taught and coached together for many years an Tongie Junior High. Jim was always great with the kids with his kind and gentle demeanor. My condolences to Vickie and all the kids!

We have just today learned the sad news about Jim. He was our teaching colleague in the 1970's in the Basehor, Kansas, school district where we had the greatest respect for him. Our paths crossed later when our sons were playing sports teams in Tonganoxie. Whenever we met, he was kind and ever the fine gentleman. To his family, we extend our heartfelt sympathy.

Don and Lori, So Sorry for your loss. May the Lord Bless you and Keep you

So sorry for your loss. I haven't seen Jim since High School Graduation but Jim was a great friend to me in High School and a great teammate on the football field and basketball court. Pound for Pound he was the best football player on our team and in the conference. His determination and will to succeed was admired by all those who played with him and watched him play. Mike Converse Horton High School Class of 1964

Jim will always be my "big cousin". I have no words of comfort for Don & Lori, Nolan & Evonne, Vickie, and all the kids, except that even though we will miss Jim terribly here, we will be joyous in our reunion in Heaven when we all get there! Please hold onto God's truth that He will comfort you in your time of need. Love you all, Teri

Vickie, Wes, Danny and fly,
We are so very sorry to hear of Jim's death. He was good to the kids when they were in high school and was always supportive. We will remember him in our prayers.

My heart is broken for you all. I don't even know where to start. He was a calm gentle spirit for me when everything else was in turmoil. I remember sitting with him at the dinner table as he helped me to make sense of my college financial aid packet and thinking-- can't I just stay here forever? Even his voice was calming. I think sometimes time stands still in our minds. I could never picture Jim being 70 and certainly never imagined him leaving this world. Instead, Jim is still young...
