Dear Cahills and Dentes: Your family is like my family, so it is impossible to write what this loss means to all of us. We love you and are thinking of you all during this time. Your dad sent me an email with a gorgeous photo of Carol a few months ago- I like to think that will be an epic reunion of spirits! Love from all of the Sangers.

Doc, I can only celebrate your life and strive to be half the man you were. Thanks for always being upfront and honest with me....I knew where you stood and respected your integrity and values. The epitome of a gentleman, scholar and father. Thanks for everything.

I used to live down the block from Dr. Cahill. I didn't know him well; in my younger days, he was just someone I said hello to. Now, reading about how well he lived his life, I realize his passing is a huge loss. My thoughts are with your family. You have my deepest sympathies.

I had the pleasure of knowing Dr Cahill, he was an exceptional person. My deepest condolences and love to the whole family.

I was fortunate to have known Jim as his patient, but more importantly as a friend. I'm sure Carol has reserved a seat for him in Heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I was honored to have known Jim for the past five years through the Silver Strand MOAA Chapter. He was a true gentleman, patriot and friend. Always the first to volunteer to help, no matter what the task. I will miss him very much.
