Not sure what to say?

All these years later, I still miss him. I hear his voice - iron covered in velvet - and see his eyes. And the weight of what I am missing lays on my chest like a stone. I will never accomplish a fraction of what he did, nor will I weather the storms nor fight the battles. I miss you, Dad. Always will. Love, Joe

Dr. Jim was a kind and good man that I will nevr forget. I was in Middle School when Dr. Jim and his wonderful wife started their practice. I was one of his first patients. Their professionalism and kindness taught me to stop fearing going to the Dentist. God Bless all the members of the Caldwell family.

Jim was my dearest friend and confidant. Somewhat older , he was a mentor in many ways, especially outdoor activities. His Faith, love of family and sense of humor were inspiring.
everything was possible with Jim. We have lost a truly great man. i see him in all his children. How blessed you are to have lived with him. Love to all Ed and Betty Hartmann

My, what a treasure of a man we await meeting in the world to come! We did not have the opportunity for that here, but how wonderful to look forward to that time we will share with him and our mutual Savior and Lord.

Dear Caldwells,

In 1983 I was fortunate to be accepted into the U.S Navy's Aviation Officer Candidate School. While visiting my parents before entering the program my father and I met for lunch with Jim. Upon greeting and shaking hands, Jim reached out with his left hand and said he wanted to give me something. He handed me a set of his pilot wings from WW II and told me how much he wanted to have them.

When I finished my own training and earned my own set of wings, I...

Dear Family,
Haven't seen Jim for many years. When I first cam to Kalamazoo 50 years ago, your dad, granddad was such a big factor in helping me feel welcome.
A firm man in Godly conviction, yet kind, warm, almost protective.
Grateful for him.
God bless and comfort,
Respectfully,
Thomas F. Fillar, DDS

To the Caldwell family, our sincere sympathy for the loss of your father. The story of his and your lives was wonderful to read...what a wonderful life indeed. Dick and Mike, it was so nice of you to attend our Grandpa Leo Kendziora's funeral and see you both. As I told you my best childhood memories , and those of my siblings include you all over there in the red cottage...all the fun times on Pretty Lake are in our hearts forever. We will miss you all and thank you for the smiles you...

What an extremely rich life he had, sorry for your loss.

We are so sorry to learn of your dear Father's passing. He was a valued neighbor over the years. An amazing man, a real loss to anyone who ever knew him.
