Hello-
I just recently saw this on line.
the family will have a memorial for the deceased family members in defiance ohio in may 2013. family members can be contacted. thanks

During high school Jim nd I wee the best of friends. He was my lab partner in chemistry where we had a memorable time. I am very saddened to hear he is gone to heaven. The family has my deepest sympathy

I just finished reading the book "HEAven is for Real" by Todd Burpo. A short easy to read book, but full of faith and hope, about a 4 year old who remembers going to HEAVEN when he had surgery when his appendix burst. I know JIM is in this beautiful place, and we'll all see him in Glory when our time comes. Jim was always such a good, smart guy!! Annie Clapp

Although I was a classmate during our junior and senior years at Defiance High, I was not that close to him. It goes without saying, that was my great loss. I pray God's perfect comfort for all who are touched by Jim's going home.

Linda and family, please accept my sincere sympathy. I was a classmate of Jim's in high school. I remember him as a brillant student and very nice person. Our class was very special to me. I know he worked on our reunion and was sorry that he was unable to attend. Peace to you

Dave and I send our sincere sympathy to you and your family. My last name was Dirr so I sat behind Jim in all the classes we had together. May God be with you during this time. God bless.

Jim , Mary Behringer my husband John and I played bridge often after we graduated. It was great fun with a lot of laughter. Classmate:
Linda (Cummings) Shafer

I had always hoped I would meet you, Linda, but I guess that was not to be. Jim was such a dear friend and, for awhile, a great bridge partner(much better than I). I think he would appreciate this acknowledgement
Linda, you have my sympathy and prayers. It has been so good to share faith and God's love with Jim these past few years. May you and Jim's siblings be blessed with Christmas peace. mary walz
