Not sure what to say?

Jim was such a wonderful teacher--the kids loved him! His sense of humor was infectious. It was an honor to have been his colleague for many years. So sorry. Alice

Mr. Capozzi was my Spanish teacher for three years. He was by lightyears, the best teacher I ever had and made me nearly fluent in Spanish in one year, and fluent by year two. Papelito! I can still hear him shout when you got a right answer. He was kind, funny, and clearly loved teaching, which showed on his face every day. I had been searching for him the last couple of years so I could tell him how much he meant to me during a very tumultuous childhood. Vaya con Dios Señor y gracias por...

He was my great JV babeball coach at Ramapo. Jerry Jackson Jr

Mr. Capozzi was my teacher at Ramapo for three years in the 80s. I adored him. A few years ago, while jogging in my town of West Milford, I would occasionally pass a man walking and we would nod and wave hello. One day I actually took my earbuds out and he said what a beautiful day it was. As soon as he spoke a full sentence to me I knew his voice immediately and I screamed out, "Señor Capoz?!?!" He was shocked when I told him that he was my teacher, and that he was the greatest. I loved...

He taught me Spanish 75/76 I still use it when I travel and can communicate effectively via lists of vocabulary words His teachings actually worked. When in college my Spanish teacher was terrible and the teacher asked me where I learned Spanish I told her you need vocabulary or you can´t communicate Stop with the grammar teach lists of words and some grammar -the key is to communicate She changed her entire curriculum. It was his teaching methodology And for that he was one of my most...

Mr. Capozzi shaped my future in ways for which I will forever be grateful. He made me fall in love with Spanish, which turned into my college major, which lead me to a 4-year stint living in Spain and a love for language and teaching. He cultivated genuine relationships with his students and had a fantastic sense of humor. I will forever remember him shouting "Velocidad! Gramática!" and teaching us many CSD´s (cómo se dice´s). Que descanses en paz, Señor Capozz!

One of the greatest teachers ever. Mr. Capozzi not only made learning fun, he truly cared about his students. I've been out of high school for 42 years and still remember Mr. Capozzi with great fondness. My condolences to his loving family. What a great loss for you all. I bet St. Peter is handing him a million papelitos for a job well done!

My Capozzi was my Spanish I maestro in 1971. Truly a funny guy and he loved his job and students. One of the great and memorable teachers of Ramapo High School, la Verdad¡ Descansa en paz, mi buen hombre. Dios está contigo.

Had mr capozzi for Spanish 2 yrs in school. Always one of my favorite classes. He made learning easy and the classes were always interesting. Over 50 yrs later I still remember everything I learned in his classes. Everyone loved him.
