Not sure what to say?

I thought about Mr. Carlin today. I was not aware of his passing. I worked, six months or so, for Conagra Foods as a temp, perhaps 2008 or 2009. Unfortunately, I wasn't the best fit for the role and the manager under Mr. Carlin wanted to release me. I wrote him and apologized. This may have been in April. His response? Why don't you stay until the end of the year; give you a chance to find something else. Kind. Beyond kind. I am sorry to discover he has passed away, but wanted to let...

Got to play in a golf outing at hopewell valley golf course. While that brings back so many family memories from the 10 plus years we spent there so many of the family memories included Jim as he was really a family member to all of us. My dad and mom are with Jim in heaven and their 8th child is still cracking them up I am sure. I am so many goofy memories of and with Jim. I still have trouble wrapping my head around the fact he is now in heaven. I am sure the Lord is shaking his head...

Memorial dinner attendees

To the Carlin family:
On June 21, we held a memorial dinner for friends passed recently. Jim was on my list of invitees, but learned of his passing during the invitation process. Those remembered were George Abel, Charlie Palumbo, Steve Tella, and Jim. This picture is of the attendees. Farewell, Jim.
Thanks,

Dearest Camille and daughters, I just learned this afternoon of Jim's passing. He certainly fought hard for two years, more courageously than I can even imagine. Too young for sure. My condolences and prayers for your grief. I know you will cleave together as a family, but grief is a process, different for each individual. Remember the good times and the many happy memories you shared. I send you our love and sorrow, tears and support. Always, Patty and Dan

I am shocked. My sister just told me that jimmy passed away. Even though I haven't seen him in years I am really in tears. What a character he always was at hopewell golf club. We worked together inside and played together often on the golf course. I have so many great memories of my friend. My sincerest prayers to the family

My deepest condolences to the entire Carlin family.

Jim and I played basketball together during our youthful Incarnation days. Jim's dad was our coach. And while Jim Jr. and I didn't have much talent for the game, Jim's dad never gave up on us.

I also remember seeing Jim's mom, Joan at church on Sundays and thinking she was the most strikingly beautiful woman I'd ever seen ( still is I'm sure). Thus, where Jim Jr. may not have inherited his dad's athletic prowess it is easy to...

Farewell, Godspeed. A true Irish gentleman will be missed.
