Not sure what to say?

Jim was first class. Always. As the founder of Logos stores. And the same for Spring Arbor. Integrity. Unflappable. First class. Visionary. Contributed so much to Christian publishing, and to the Kingdom. Look forward to seeing you again, Jim, in His Kingdom! May you be deservedly and richly rewarded!

I met Jim when he arrived at Covenant Living of Florida. I was fascinated with his business past as I had heard of Logos as an avid reader and book seller- just seeing him made you want to know more. Was sad to learn of his wife´s passing and glad he found our Florida community to make new friends.

Jim and Priscilla Carlson were used by God powerfully in my life. As a young man, now 50 years ago, they mentored me as a young believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and modeled a faithful grace-filled life. As a husband, father, friend, and colleague they nurtured me by their care, compassion, and joy in what the Lord had done in their life impacting their family, relationships, and work. They celebrated life in light of God's providential sovereignty and love...and it was infectious....

Dear Dan, Ted, and Juliana, I thank God for your parents' role in my life. First, they had a central role in my coming to faith in Christ--the most valuable gift they could have given me. As years went on, they continued to be spiritual parents to me. In your childhood, they gave me the privilege of caring for you when they needed a sitter. Then they mentored me about being a husband and father and pastor. All together, they have had a huge role in shaping my life, for which I am deeply...

Jim in his early years as IVCF staff brought me to Jesus and for that I am always grateful. --Phil Munro

I was blessed to know Jim and Priscilla. After I was employed for a year at Logos of Ann Arbor, Jim hired me to join the staff of the new distribution company that he was founding, originally called Arbor Distributors. I worked at Spring Arbor Distributors for nineteen years, until the company was sold. I well remember helping Jim, Priscilla, and their kids paint the walls of the first warehouse, on Airport Boulevard! Jim Carlson was a person of vision, one who lived an authentic Christian...

God took home a wonderful son to live in eternal peace! I was just telling a new friend about Mr. Carlson on Saturday night..... about Jim always presenting tools to Christian retailers that were ahead of his time! I loved him and am comforted knowing that he was given much and he gave much more to everyone that he met and worked with. "In paradisum" May the Angels lead him into Paradise. May the Martyrs receive him at...

Our children grew up together in the Georgetown Neighborhood. So sorry to hear of his passing. My sympathies to his family.

May our good and gracious God bless the memory of Jim forever.
