Still in our thoughts

We think often of Jim and miss his kindness and dedication to help everyone. Joanne and I send our deepest sympathy to Bonnie and the Carper family.

I served under BG Carper as a company commander and later as his brigade S-2. He was a great leader and friend.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Bonnie and family.

We all have different gifts, we all have different ways of saying to the world who we are. Jim had that knack for drawing out that in another that made them feel good about what they were doing. To Bonnie and all that great family, remember...to live in the hearts of those who you touched is to never really leave this existence. See you Jim! WELL DONE!!!

I met Jim through the Sencland Chapter MOAA, and regularly at the annual Memorial Day service at the National Cemetery. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing shortly after arriving in Germany where I am currently located. We never discussed it, but I note from his obituary that we were both in Vietnam during the same period 67-68. I join my colleagues of the Chapter in expressing our sincere condolences to Bonnie and the family at this difficult time, and would have joined them...
