Not sure what to say?

I am so sad to hear of Jim's passing. He was an inspiration to people all across North Carolina, especially Big Sweep volunteers. He was a Big Sweep County Coordinator for 16 years, and we all are going to miss him, his stories and experiences. We are all better people for knowing him.

It was my pleasure and honor to have known Jim. One of his many and perhaps lesser known qualities was his passion for the environment. He was a great environmental steward with many efforts on behalf of Lake Hickory in particular. Many of us will continue to enjoy the water quality improvements in our region, in part because of Jim's efforts over several decades, with the Lake Hickory Association, NC Big Sweep, The Catawba River Study Committee, etc..

Paula, so sorry to hear. Jim was loved by many people and I had the greatest respect for him. Arthur

My Condolences, God Bless and Comfort all who knew Jim.

Jim had a zest for life and was such a great person. Paula, you're in my prayers as well as those who loved Jim. ~Amanda Huffman (Vale, NC)

Paula, I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that you and your family will find comfort and peace at this most difficult time.

Paula, just learned about Jimmy. Have fond memories of growing up together in Wilmington. Will miss the occasional visits when I saw him at the ferry.

My deepest sympathy,I cared a lot about Jim. He was always kind and positive. I feel very honored to have known him,and towards the end being able to return his kindness by caring for him. Paula remember he is not suffering any more,it's the ones left here that are suffering from his loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
