For many years, after he had retired Brendan visited Ireland each summer and stayed with my mother in Sligo for some of that time. Brendan and Annie were first cousins. Both of them looked forward to his arrival each summer. I got to know a little of him from those visits. I am sure Annie was there to greet him when he arrived in Heaven. We are so sad to hear of his passing Adrian Gallagher (son of Annie Gallagher) and Ursula Bates ( daughter of Annie Gallagher)
