Not sure what to say?

Jim Carver w as a wonderful man who went out of his way to help make the world a better place and inspire others to do so as well. He taught at Nazareth College and his classes were the ones I remember and enjoyed best. He never talked down to us, and made the people in his classes feel they were all important...no "bit players". A remarkable man.

Everyone who met Jim and Nancy Carver loved them deeply. He always had a quick smile and a kind heart to share with anyone he met. He touched so many lives at the Kalamazoo Civic theatre. Friendships that he encouraged are still going strong 40 years later! We love both of the Carvers and are so happy that he gave his best to all of us. Kathleen Weissert

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. I worked with Jim on several of his plays, as scenic designer. I first met him when he was acting in "On Borrowed Time" @ CCTL. He was so complimentary about the set, that I knew I wanted to work with this man again. And I did, many times.

What a guy! Thanks, Jim, for your mentoring! MaryCutler

Jim renewed my old (and mostly forgotten) love for the theater. We worked together on four shows, including his last play as a director (11/22), The Last Romance. Right up to the very end of his life Jim exercised his creativity, and was working on a film script when we last talked. Here's to your life, Jim! We will miss you.

A great guy, accomplished actor and director with whom we enjoyed working and having fun!
