James Cavanaugh Obituary

CAVANAUGH, JAMES L., 84, of Louisville, entered into rest on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at his home with his wife and son by his side.

He was a retired metal finisher for American Standard and Rocky Food Systems and a veteran of the Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 157 and Okolona VFW #8639.

Mr. Cavanaugh was preceded in death by two sons, James T. and Richard Cavanaugh.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Cavanaugh; a son, Robert Cavanaugh (Diane); two sisters, Barbara Starks and Ruth Thompson; three grandchildren, Michael, Amanda and Chris; and three great-grandchildren.

His funeral services will be on Friday, December 28, 2012, at noon at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8519 Preston Highway, with interment following in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-8 p.m.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the kindness and attention they received from Hosparus.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
