Our deep condolences to the family. May he live on in the stories told and friendships recalled . He´ll be remembered for giving all a fair shake, never knowing a stranger and running a local favorite cornerstone. Not to mention, making the best cheeseburgers in Streator.

My occasional visits back to Streator would eventually include a trip to Chalkley's Bar and even though my visits were few and far apart, Jimmy would always greet me with "hey Urby hows it going , you having the usual" as a cold Old Style appeared ready to refresh me and my roast beef sandwich was promptly prepared. There is a special nuance to Chalkley's and Jimmy was big part of the distinction that makes it special. Rest in Peace my friend, I raise my beer to you and job well done.
