Not sure what to say?

We are so sorry to hear that we have lost Judge Changaris. He was very important to the protection of our cherished Sierra Buttes/Lakes Basin in Sierra County. His 2000 decision which ruled that the California Environmental Quality Act had not been implemented properly in the approval of a large home proposed on Upper Sardine Lake negated that approval and added impetus to our efforts to preserve this beautiful area. We now own 1525 acres of the Lakes Basin surrounded by additonal Forest...

My condolences to Jim's family on his passing. Jim was such a fine person - which is reflected in his wonderful family - one of his best legacies.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

On behalf of the Sierra Buttes/Lakes Basin Coalition, please accept our heartfelt prayers and condolences on the loss of Judge Changaris. We know we are only one of his incredible legacy's, but his 2000 ruling in our favor to protect the Sierra Buttes from development was precedent setting. It created the foundation for us to continue our collaborative efforts to preserve this pristine environment for all generations to come. Anyone who stands on the shores of Lower or Upper Sardine Lake...

Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared comfort you now and in the days ahead.

I would like to express my condolences to the Changaris family. My father held Jim in such high esteeem, as did so many people. May you find comfort in family and friends at this difficult time. With deepest sympathy and love,

My family would like to extend our deepest sympathies for your loss. Although we did not know each other we are related. My mother Ekaterina lambropoulos's maiden name was Papaioannou. Her brother's are Pete and Charlie. Their mother and your grandfather were brother and sister. She was first cousin to your father. We reside in Toronto, Canada. May your lives be eternal.

I had the privilege to Clerk for Judge Changaris when he sat as a visiting Judge in Yuba County some years ago. He was wonderful to work with & had a great sense of humor. Rest in peace Judge.
