James Chappell Obituary
1959-2017
My best friend and loving husband, James Clifford Chappell at the age of 58 years old passed away on November 16th, 2017. Cliff was born and raised in Houston, Texas where he lived with his family. Cliff graduated from Waltrip High School in Oak Forest. He was married to Terry Chappell on August 4th, 1990. Cliff worked at I.A. Naman for 35 years and moved up through the ranks to be an owner and the I.T. VP for the company. Cliff enjoyed his work with the company along with other hobbies, fishing, riding his motorcycle, spending time with family and friends and going on long vacations around the world. He was proceeded in death by his father, James M. Chappell and our nephew Clay Chappell and is survived by his mother Nell Chappell, wife Terry Chappell, step son Kenneth Urmy, brother Larry and sister-in-law Cannie Chappell, sister Galynne and brother-in-law G-Joe Shimerka and our nephews and nieces, Chase Chappell, Kyle and Karly Shimerka. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., December 2, 2017 at Pat H. Foley & Company.

I corresponded with Cliff on a number of guitar amp projects over the years and came to admire his attention to detail, sense of aesthetic and impressive woodworking skills. He always gave me something to think about. Sadly, we never got the opportunity to meet face-to-face. I will miss our occasional chats.
