I have known the Cheatham's for 17 years. I was graced with the opportunity to meet them because my little sister dated one of their son's all through high school. I can't say it was always peaches and cream; but the Cheatham's always treated my sister and me like family, even after she and Vince broke up.
Evelyn and Bucky have been close friends of mine ever since. I hold many memories dear to me. I will miss Bucky for the rest of time. My only regret is not getting to go to California...

Bucky and his whole family have been a very important part of my life for many years. I dated their youngest son throughout highschool and have remained a member of the family ever since. Whenever I needed anything they were always there. One memory that will always stay with me is a night.. or very early morning.. when Bucky and Evelyn were yanked outta bed at 2 am to come resue me from Chico. I could always count on them for things like this. That story resulted in me getting my very own...

I served with Bucky at the Butte County Jail for numerous years. We both shared a love for livestock. He invited me over and showed me his "high tech" method for butchering turkeys. I still use his method. I also knew Jim did not have high regards for those in the medical field. I will always remember when he called me at the jail one night while experienceing abdominal pains.
