Extending my sympathy to Jim´s family. My husband, Allan Warrior, and Jim became friends as members of Urban Tour Group. They shared a common interest in trains. Jim was a kind compassionate man.

James Chellis was a kind, man with a wonderful sense of humor and true dedication to teaching. I substitute taught for him many times when he taught at Laurelhurst. He was an exceptional teacher and person . The children he taught adored and respected him. Mr. Chellis made a positive impact on every child in his classroom and I'm sure they remember him with great fondness.

Mr. Chellis was my older son's fourth grade teacher; a more kind, gentle and considerate teacher you could not have found. I was a regular classroom volunteer and his students were always calm, always ready to learn. He had a way about him that made students feel safe and cared for. Rest in peace, Mr. Chellis.
