My deepest regards to Jeanne and their many friends and extended family. Jeanne, I am so very sorry. I have known Jim from the very early age of 13 in the village of Stow,Ohio where we both were raised. Jim was a very special student even at that early age. We had reconnected here 21 years ago. I will miss you both.

I first met Jim on a grant-sponsored tour of the state that Clemson held in the summer of 1989. I was a brand-new assistant professor, and Jim was a senior colleague. We shared rooms (and a van seat) for the week of the tour. I remember him as intelligent, supportive, humorous, and a great companion. I am sorry for the loss of this wonderful guy.

To you the family, I am sorry to hear the news about your loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this challenging time. Isaiah 61:1,2

Diane and Bill and I enjoyed getting to know Jim at Clemson Downs, singing hymns with him on Sunday afternoons and finding out about his many talents. We only knew him for a short time, but enjoyed every minute with him, and we were blessed by him! May God comfort all who feel the loss of Jim, giving good memories nd the knowledge and faith that Jim is with The Lord!
