My father Ed Chute was a cousin of James' father Bill,a New Britain police officer and always spoke with pride of our police cousins James,Gary and Billy around our Southington home.Five or six years ago I came to know these guys through the Amber club and a few family functions and have shared a lot of laughs with Jimmy despite his health issues.He never complained,just kept on playing cards and telling stories from his seat at the club.Tough guy,loved being a cop.loved his family.I'll miss...

Jimmy wasn't just a "cop ", he was part of a Family Tradition started by his dad. He and his brothers and their sons all became police officers, and are proud of it ! You will be missed Jimmy, but never forgotten !
