I had the honor of being one of James Chvala´s elementary school teachers. He was a great student and very respectful. Always smiling. He came by to share his letter jacket when he was in high school. Same smile, gave me a hug. Just an amazing young man, gone to soon. We need more young people to follow his lead as a positive role model. RIP, James. I know that there a huge void in your family. May God´s mercies be with them Lennis Gay Wafford.

James was in my 1st Grade class, many years ago. He was a very charming little boy. I watched him mature as a leader throughout his grades 1-6 at Mt Vernon School. As he continued to excell, at BHS, he would stop by to share his accomplishments, never bragging, just an update. I was so saddened to hear about his accident as he was working on the highway. A very talented, giving young man, who didn't get to share his great potential but for just a short time. He however did make an impact.
