We were so sorry to hear about Jake. He was such a kind and gentle man. Jake was always there to lend a hand to whomever needed it. We will miss him greatly.

Patty and Michael, I remember seeing Jake at your family events. He was always smiling and happy. He was such a doting grandfather to your girls and so proud of them and you. I'm sure this is a difficult time for you and we offer our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

"Jake the Mailman" is how I remember him best. While Jake had been a friend of my Dad's for years, when I was back in elementary school he was our mailman for years, probably even when I graduated High school. He would always encourage me to accompany him on his break to the soda fountain at the local drugstore where he would order a "coke" or a lime rickey for me.
