Not sure what to say?

I just learned about Mr. Clark's passing today from a NOHS classmate. I graduated in '79 and am so grateful to have had Mr. Clark for Freshman English and Shakespeare 1 & 2. He by far surpassed any English instructor I had in college, and I still remember lessons he taught, and how getting a B++ in his class was a real accomplishment! I so wish I'd had a chance to thank him in person; I'd thought about it many times over the years. I think he instilled in me a love for writing, a keen...

I only have just heard of Mr. Clark's death a full year after his passing. This past week I was speaking with a new high school freshman about him. I was telling this freshman how during his education he would find teachers that stayed with him forever. Even 25 years after having Mr Clark as a teacher he still has an amazing impact on how I think, read and write. I will always appreciate what a dedidicated teacher he was and how he pushed me to work harder.

My younger brother and I had Mr. Clark as our English teacher at North Olmsted High School. He taught me how to write. I have filed reports that have been broadcast nationally on the CBS Radio Network and written op/ed columns that have been published in newspapers owned by The New York Times Company and Gannett Co., Inc. I have received many compliments over the years about my writing, and I owe it all to Mr. Clark. When I took the Advanced Placement English test, my essays on Nathaniel...

Mr. Clark was the most amazing teacher I ever had, in spite of the winter break term paper and all. He challenged you to be your best and accepted nothing less. The lessons went far beyond English and Shakespeare. My sympathy to your family and friends, Mr. Clark. You will be missed by many.

He was the kind of teacher who made you think and grow. He shared his love for English and taught us all that it could be fun ...He was what teaching was all about. I am greatly saddened by his passing. He was the best.

Mr. Clark was my favorite teacher at North Olmsted High School! I had him for English and Shakespeare my Junior year, 1983. He was always great with students and taught with enthusiasm and joy. I'll always remember the "Clark" bars at Halloween!

May his memory be eternal.

Respectfully,

No legacy is so rich as honesty. -William Shakespeare. Thank you Mr. Clark. Your family is in my prayers. Scott Dorey NOHS Class of 1985

He was a memorable teacher.

Thank you Mr. Clark. Rest in Peace...

Thank you, Mr. Clark, you were my favorite teacher at NOHS. Even to this day, I can still remember you saying "Lady McBeth was a hell of a woman" in class. Because of you I and your faith in my abilities, I went on to college, graduate school and had my own teaching career as Prof. of Sociology at Augustana College. My best to your family.
