You learn a lot about a person when you play poker with them. James always took his losses well and his wins with grace. More often than not he was a winner as a result of his play not just the luck of the cards. We could always count on James to keep the rules fair to everyone, whether it was how to fill cards, or the default wildcard in certain games, or who forgot to ante. I never saw him angry, always observed him as respectful, honest beyond reproach, proud to call him a friend, he...

I knew James from Friday night card games. I'll always remember his perpetual smile. James was a very good person and a true friend (and a great poker player). He will be truly missed.

I was very saddened to learn of James' passing. I was fortunate to have enjoyed his fiendship inside and outside work. He was a great friend and will be truly missed.
