Clarkson, James "J.D." age 53, of Eden Prairie, passed away on August 26, 2006, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Preceded in death by his mother, Mary Martha Clarkson and grandfather, Howard Clarkson. Survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Susan and their four children, Carmen Clarkson (fiancé Brandon VanBergen), Jill Sanders, Jody (Allen) Zielinski and Ryan (Jaimy) Clarkson. He was "Papa" to five grandchildren; Jadyn, Jackson, Jordan, Ashton and Ashley. He is also survived by his father, Wayne Clarkson; sister, Lana Schmitt; brother, Dewayne (Janet) Clarkson and numerous loving and supportive family and friends. J.D. was President/COO of Michael Foods, Inc. and a member of Olympic Hills Golf Club. J.D. was a wonderful husband, exceptional father and a proud grandpa who adored and loved his grandchildren. Our family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at John Hopkins, especially Dr. Laheru, for their devotion and loving care. We would also like to thank Dr. Alberts, Dr. MacRae and Dr. Omlie. J.D./Dad/Papa, who loves you? We do. How much? A WHOLE BUNCH! You will forever be in our hearts and greatly missed. Family and friends please join us to honor J.D. Visitation 5-8 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Huber Funeral Home Eden Prairie Chapel, 16394 Glory Lane, and one hour prior to the service at Church. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Thursday, August 31, 2006 at Wooddale Church, 6630 Shady Oak Road, Eden Prairie.
