I met Jim during our time on the MAC board together, and quickly came to view him as somewhat of a father figure. He was stoic on the outside yet kindhearted through and through. He will be missed.

A truly great man, a truly great Marine and a truly great American. I was proud to serve with Jim Cleary in the 6th Engineer Support Battalion in the Marine Corps. We were one of the best battalions in the Marine Corps and largely because Jim Cleary was our colonel.

Cheryl was my baby sitter and she truly loved Jim! I distributed grooms cakes at the wedding. I baby sat tommy, Kenny and few times Karen. Tommy and Karen then babysat my kids ...Carlene and Trisha did Sunday school, Girl Scout, and Carroll College. Family is love is family. Cheryl loved with all her heart and how lucky Jim was ! How loved this family was
