Not sure what to say?

Surprised! Worked with Jim in the ESGR and enoyed company of he and Cheryl over the years I was involved. Once a Marine always a Marine. Don Tucker

May all the fond memories of your dad give you lasting peace and comfort.

George and Susan Malone remember with love, Jim Cleary. He will be remembered and saluted for his service to the Marine Corps, to our Malone - Cleary family and to our Portland community. George will always remember with love, he and Janie Cleary were ring bearer and flower girl at Jim Malone's wedding. What fun we had as an extended Malone - Cleary family. May the Angels surround my uncle, Col Jim Cleary, with love. George Malone, LTCOL USMC Susan Malone, COL USMC

I met Jim during our time on the MAC board together, and quickly came to view him as somewhat of a father figure. He was stoic on the outside yet kindhearted through and through. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. What a beautiful family he leaves! I have such special memories of all the time I spent with you as a babysitter and teacher and friend. I always admired Jim and Cheryl's parenting style and listened when we talked. Tom, Karen, Carlene, and Trish ~ you're all in my thoughts and prayers during this time.

Remembering another good "Holy Redeemer Boy" & good man of All Saints Church. Ellen O'Keefe

Very fond memories and great respect for your father, mother, and for your family.

A truly great man, a truly great Marine and a truly great American. I was proud to serve with Jim Cleary in the 6th Engineer Support Battalion in the Marine Corps. We were one of the best battalions in the Marine Corps and largely because Jim Cleary was our colonel.

Cheryl was my baby sitter and she truly loved Jim! I distributed grooms cakes at the wedding. I baby sat tommy, Kenny and few times Karen. Tommy and Karen then babysat my kids ...Carlene and Trisha did Sunday school, Girl Scout, and Carroll College. Family is love is family. Cheryl loved with all her heart and how lucky Jim was ! How loved this family was
