I was truly saddened to hear the news of Dr. Coats. I would like to convey my deepest sympathy to Mrs. Coats, Jeff, and Kelley. Dr. Coats was greatly loved and he will always hold a special place in my heart. I feel so privileged to have had him in my life (even for two short years). I am sorry for your loss. I was in two of his classes when I went to Faulkner State Community College.

He was also my mentor and a very sensitivve man. Whenever I needed a reference for anything, he would give me a great letter.

I will miss him very much and God Bless to you and will be in my thoughts and prayers.

So sad to read of Dr. Coats passing. I always enjoyed our chats at tax time; he would ask about my family and tell he everything you guys had done. He was such a wonderful and caring person and will be missed by everyone's life he touched.

Dr. Coats was a valued friend and mentor to me as I was growing up. I am shocked by his sudden passing, but know that he is home with the Lord.
