When I first met Mr. Coe he made an outstanding impression on me, when he spoke Spanish probably even better than me. Mr. Coe was a very wise man and he imparted his knowledge and friendship. When Mr. Coe retired, we were all sad because a "bright" spirit was leaving and we weren't going to hear his laughter and jokes. Now, I know the Lord is rejoicing with his presence and Mr. Coe will remain in all our hearts. We miss you dearly Mr. Coe.

I had the privilege of knowing Mr. Coe for the past 19 years. He was my supervisor on two separate occasions. During one of the lowest times in my life he believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. It was a sad day when he retired and even sadder to know he's passed. RIP Mr. Coe.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss and extend my deepest condolences during this awful time.
James had such a huge impact on so many lives, in so many different ways. I worked with James at the College for the last few years before his retirement and genuinely looked forward to going to work particularly because of James. I enjoyed learning from him, discussing current events and politics and just hearing his voice and his laugh. He was kind, patient, and ever willing to listen....

James Coe was a wonderful person to be around. He would laugh at my jokes and add some of his own. I met him many years ago when he worked worked to help addicts recover. I also would see him regularly at events where he was representing EPCC. He knew the CALO language of El Paso well. I will miss his friendship and his intelligence.
