James Randall “Randy” Cogburn, age 50, of Mountain Pine, went to meet the Lord on Friday, May 29, 2009.

He was born on August 29, 1958 in Hot Springs, the son of Jim Cogburn and Claudia Pullen Cogburn. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Cogburn; his paternal grandparents, Glen and Florean Brunt Cogburn; and his maternal grandparents, Emory and Dolly O’Neal Pullen. On December 2, 1995, he was married to Anita Clark Terry in Las Vegas.

A Christian, he was a member of Harvey’s Chapel Baptist Church and the owner/operator of Seven C’s Trucking Company.

Survivors are his wife, Anita Cogburn of Mountain Pine; his parents, Jim and Claudia Cogburn of Norman; three sons, Adam Cogburn and his fiancée, Heather Judkins, of Lowell, David Terry and his wife, Amanda, and Justin Terry all of Mountain Pine; three daughters, Jamie Dorough and her husband, Josh, of Fullerton, California, Raelee and Averi Cogburn both of Mountain Pine; two granddaughters, Taylor and Madison Terry of Mountain Pine; three sisters, Janelle Graves and her husband, Gene, of Norman, Jan West and her husband, Tom, of Caddo Gap, and Necie Thew and her husband, Marvin, of Mount Ida; four sisters-in-law, Vanessa Sturgis and her husband, Drew, of Texas, Phyllis Womble and her husband, Ronnie, of Hot Springs, Debbie Corley and her husband, Dennis, of Whitehall, and Rhnea Harris of Fountain Lake; and his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other family and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in the Mount Gilead Baptist Church with Bro. Brian Hill, Bro. Johnny Freeman, and Bro. Gene Graves officiating.

Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Interment will be in the Mount Gilead Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of Randy Cogburn at any First National Bank location.

Pallbearers will be John McRae, Jeremy Graves, Tyler Graves, Josh Milton, Greg Womble, Chris Hill, and Kaleb West.

Honorary pallbearers will be all of his nieces, Calvin Sharp, Johnny Freeman, Buddy Lemons and Glen Dale Cogburn.
