Not sure what to say?

My memories are few being that I didn't see him that often, but I do remember that he was always kind and loving to me and my siblings. He will be missed.

What a great guy! That gregarious laugh and contagious smile. The loving way he treated our deceased loved ones and those they left behind. His care for my grandparents (John and Florence Clark), my mother (Marguerite Clark Lawson), and my wonderful stepdad (Charles Lawson)will never be forgotten. He brought so much happiness to all our lives. He will always have a very special place in all our hearts. We miss you Jim.

Uncle Jim will be dearly missed. He was Unkie Skunkie to me. Jim was always so fun to spend time with. He loved to play games when us kids were younger. I will always remember catching tadpoles in the creek that ran through the mortuary where he worked. I also will never forget the GIANT possum he caught in the backyard of he and Aunt Colleen's Concord home. I never thought Uncle Jim's eyes could get so big! The possom was huge and very unhappy with him newly discovered cage. I remember Uncle...

I came to work at Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel in 2002 while studying at UC Berkeley. Jim was a patient and often hilarious mentor who never hesitated to poke fun at me and my Berkeley-esque sensibilities. I learned so much from Jim, and will never forget our long talks punctuated by roars of laughter. He gave good advice, fed me candy and doughnuts, and always remembered my birthday. My most sincere condolences to his family and friends. Peace on Earth, Go Bears.

Jim would come in daily to the health department to pick up and drop off documents. He always had a fresh cup of Starbucks in his hand and his keys around his pinkie. Before doing any "work" he would first rearrange the chairs in our lobby. Gonna miss you "Cole", really gonna miss you!

Like everyone else I can't help but smile when I think of various situations I experiened with Jim. Mike Culver and I spent 3 weekends with Jim working on the railroad living in a caboose in Fort Dodge. It was the summer before he went into the service and, of course ,Jim was always trying to get "Sweat's" goat, which he often did, then when Mike would get mad- Jim would get that great big grin and totally diffuse the situation. Great guy, teammate(8.5 sized helmet!)and friend. Keep us smiling>

Our Sympathy and prayers to Jim's family. He was a great guy and was and always will be "Uncle Jim" to our children. In his professional capacity he took care of my dads arrangements when dad "graduated" to his spiritual home. Our memories are full of laughter and good times both as a person and with family. God blessed us mightily by having Jim in our lives.

My Sister, Jody Berg, Linda Ward, Davi Mondt and I traveled to Italy this summer on a tour. We talked about many old friends from Boone. Jim was brought up one evening, my Sister and Linda laughed at "Jim" stories and both talked about what a great person he was and how much they enjoyed his personality.
Jody graduated from BHS and attended Boone Junior College with Jim. She always has a smile on her face when she speaks of him, rightfully so.......
Our thoughts are with you. He...

My deepest sympathy to all those who loved Jim--as I did. Such a wonderful guy, such a great laugh, such a dear friend.
