Not sure what to say?

The Brain Injury Alliance of SC would like to express our deepest sympathies. We will truly miss Walker. He was a great supporter of the Brain Injury Alliance and was a great advocate for persons with disabilities.

My fondest memory of Walker comes from a trip to Martha's Vineyard on my 16th birthday. With his family in-tow, we ventured forth for a day of biking on the island. The beach called and we answered, only to find that the call was a "clothing optional" one. Walker's only comment to me was, "I hope like hell your father doesn't find out about this!" Debby, Walker and Chisolm, I am so glad I knew this wonderful man. Your lives, and mine, are all the richer for it.

Love to you all -

Heyward and I are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend, Walker. He was instumental in igniting our interest in early rock and roll and was himself a veritable encyclopedia of the genre. His erudite reviews and witty comments about each Ponderosa Stomp performance were so remarkable that they should be collected and pulished.
He was a very fine southern gentleman, much admired by everyone who knew him.

Walker worked with my father for years. I knew him off & on through childhood up to present day. My deepest sympathies to his family from mine.

I only had the privilege of knowing Walker Coleman for several years but recognized instantly what an outstanding human being he was - raconteur extraordinaire, a gentle man who was extremely generous of spirit, the kind of husband, father, brother and uncle every person in the world would love to have. My heart goes out to Debby and his family and I pray for strength for them to face life without his beloved presence.

Dear Debby,
We were saddened to hear about Walker. He was such a wonderfully kind and generous man. We will remember his booming voice, love of jazz and zest for life. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers!

Charleston has lost one of our City's finest gentlemen. He was a mentor to so many, including myself, and I always looked forward to seeing Walker often and hearing a funny story. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten!

Dear Cynthia, Jamie and the boys- We are so ,so sorry for your loss . Know that we are here for you when you get back to Atlanta and you and Debby will continue to be in our daily prayers.
Love,
Mary,Bryan,Anne,Charlie,Ben and George

All of the folks who knew Walker on Cape Cod join me in fondly remembering him through the legacy of wonderful stories, music, and great times we shared.
