Not sure what to say?

Jim - Our dads taught at same time at APHS. They had wild tales about school.
Both loved corny jokes. You were a few years ahead of me in age - so our generation idealized you and your HS Championship basketball team coached by your dad. Bob Welch and I were always in awe of that team - esprcially you and Hal Manson. We saw you play Princeton at Princeton while you were at Dartmouth college. We discussed that game a lot. Bob Welch was pleased you came to his 70th birthday that...

My deepest condolences to the Coleman Family. I grew up in Asbury Park and my family and I lived across the street from the Coleman Family on Pine St. Jimmy was a role model for me and many others. He was a star athlete, a scholar, a successful lawyer and politician and he never forgot his roots. May he rest in peace.

The most interesting man I ever met.

Phillip- so sorry to hear about your Dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry to hear the sad news. Many wonderful memories with the Colemans. Rest in peace, Chippy.

"They just don't make them like that any more," applies to this lovely man: so many will miss his extensive knowledge, experience, service, stories, sense of humor, and wise counsel: he always "got it."..was honored to have known him, and been on various committees with him..Enjoy your well- earned rest, Chippy, and may God bless you and your family.

I want to tell the children that my late Mom, Dorothy Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Becker) Day, from Avon, then Belmar, was close friends with Ruth, especially, and Judge Coleman. Their names were often spoken in our house admirably and with love by my Mom. Fly like Peter Pan to that party in Heaven, Your Honor! Thank you for being kind to and helping my Mother. She always appreciated it.

There isn't enough to say for a friend, he will be missed. Prayers to "Chippy" and his family.
