Not sure what to say?

Mr Collins was a great man, I worked for Sizzler in LA, several times Mr Collins would show up for lunch or dinner and if we were busy or short handed ,Mr Collins always offered to help out. Even being the head of the company he was a down to earth man, and highly respected. The world lost a great man but heaven got a awesome angel

Mrs. James A Collins (Carol) Condolences, sympathy, and prayers for you and your family. I met Jim and you during the early 70´s when I worked for KFC traveling out of the Public Relations Dept.with Colonel Sanders.Jim was always a friend when we visited LA.inviting me to go with him to an MBA class at UCLA, jogging, with him on Pebble Beach golf course, a performance at the Los Angeles Center for the Performing Arts and the New York stock exchange where Jim rang the bell for his stock...

Oh Cathy.... M´Lee sent me this!!! What wonderful memories of you and your dear Mom and Dad during those days at the BABC. WILL NEVER FORGET YOU ALL!!! Sending my love and deepest sympathy to you and your dear family!!

It was a pleasure and an honor to know and work with and for Jim. I´ll never forget how calmly he handled us running out of gas on a North Queensland trip. He calmly took the blame, saying that he must have distracted me, the n gave a "life lesson". He told me that he only worried about the things he could change, not about the things that he couldn´t, but, saying that, he always asked me every time we met after that if I had enough gas! Vale, Jim Collins

Jim was definitely one of a kind and is only superseded by the legacy he leaves behind. I can remember that he liked to have a chat, even if meant being late. And not for something important like a board meeting as such, and not so much him, but me holding him up. I can remember him getting on a plane every year and flying out annually, to our yearly conference that Collins Food International, as it was known then, held. And loved to listen to him recount his life memories, such...

I managed Jim´s KFC operations in the mid to late seventies. In meetings, I always found him to be upbeat with a kindly smile. The one exception was when I was summoned to his office one early morning. He had been out jogging and noticed that one of our chicken stores was permanently being closed. My explanation that our lease had expired and the landlord was repurposing the land and three realtors had been working for two years to find an alternative site in what was a constricted area...

Hi, I started working for Collins Foods in the year 2000 and first met Jim at one of the annual Company Conferences which were often held in various locations on the Gold Coast, Australia. I remember Jim was always interested in talking to whoever he met. And he was always smiling. I had the privilege of playing a game of golf, one on one with Jim, when I visited LA with my family many years ago. He certainly knew how to make someone feel welcomed. It is truly sad to hear of his passing,...

So sad to hear this news. Worked for KFC in Queensland. A true gentleman and what a great legacy. Always enjoyed his company when he came out for a visit. Jan Price. Townsville. Queensland Australia.
