I worked with Jim for many years at DYFS. Altho he could be unconventional, you'd have to go a long way to find anyone who cared more about the families we served. He was also supportive to other staff and often provided a much needed smile or laugh.

I worked with Jim at BCS/DYFS in the Somerville Office from 1971-1973. I had contact with him later as I remained with the agency but left the Somerville Office. He had a good heart and was always willing to help someone be it a staff person or a client. I appreciated his caring as well as his sense of humor.
